If you come from Athens or go in the direction to
Athens, you should take a rest at the Isthmos of Korinth and have a
look from the bridge on the impressive canal which was built in the
years from 1881 to 1893 and connects the Saronic gulf with the Gulf
of Corinth.
Besides this do not miss the inspection of
ancient Korinth, one of the remarkable archaeological sites of the
Peloponnesus with big historical meaning (Korinth was beside Athens
and Sparta one of the leading towns of antique Greece).
Also a visit of Akrokorinth, the medieval
fortress, is worthwhile - therefore good condition and travelling
shoes are helpful!
